1982

Osmania General Hospital, Hyderabad, INDIA. Rotatory Internship. The Osmania General Hospital, Hyderabad, INDIA, is a teaching hospital attached to the Osmania Medical College. Twelve months rotating internship included fundamental training in patient management, operative and medical procedures in Surgery, Medicine, Obstetric and Gynaecology, Orthopaedic and Ophthalmology. After a basic training in Surgery I have specialized in Surgical Oncology and Head and Neck Surgery. I have been trained in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Endoscopies and Laproscopic Surgery. I have also been trained in Lasers in Surgery.

1983

Bombay Hospital and Medical Research Centre, Mumbai. Surgical Resident under Dr. V.S. Seth (FRCS), who specialized in G.I. Surgery.

1984-85

Osmania General Hospital, Hyderabad, INDIA. Senior House Officer (Registrar) General Surgery (Most of the time spent in Surgical Oncology). This post involved Emergency as well as teaching responsibilities.

1985-87

Dr. Ambedkar Memorial Hospital, Central Rly., Mumbai. Resident Surgeon in General Surgery. Underwent intensive training in General Surgical procedures with special emphasis on Oncology, Urology and Plastic Surgery for 2 years (July, 85 to Jan., 87).

1987-88

Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai. This is Indian's largest and busiest Cancer Centre: As Surgical Registrar was given extensive "hands on" training in various surgical departments as well in Maxillo Facial and Plastic Surgery.

1988

Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, Post Graduate Student in Surgical G.I. Unit with Dr.L.J. De Souza (FRCS Ed.), head of G.I. Cancer Unit. Assisted in routine as well as research work, which involved major and minor endoscopic procedures.

1989-90

R.N. Cooper Hospital, Mumbai, INDIA. This is a subsidiary teaching hospital under the K.E.M. Hospital, Mumbai. Surgical Registrar in Minor Surgery - this involved teaching as well as emergency management in General Surgery and Oncology.

1990

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, New York, U.S.A., Fellowship in the Head and Neck Service, a post involving study and research in the management of cancer of the oral cavity (Oct. to Dec., 1990).

P.D. Hinduja National Hospital & Medical Research Centre, Mumbai: Surgical Registrar in Uro-Oncology and Urology. This post involved general management of Urology cases of all types.

1991-94

P.D. Hinduja National Hospital & Medical Research Centre, Mumbai: Clinical Associate in Surgery chiefly involved in the management of Surgical Oncology cases. Also performing Diagnostic and Therapeutic Laproscopic Surgery and Laser Surgery.

1997

St. Mark's Academic Institute, affiliated to St. Mark's Hospital, London, U.K., worked as a Clinical Observer in the G.I. Cancer unit under Dr.R.J. Nichols.

1995-2000
